   kovu doesnt kill luka at all. It was simba that ACCIDENTALLY kicked the branch that fell on top of him. luka’s death was an accident, and kovu didnt have anything to do with it. scar however, killed mufasa definetly on purpose

   Kovu is the son of Zira. He was originally intended to be the son of Scar but this was changed as this would make him related to Kiara, Simba’s daughter. Instead, he became Scar’s adopted son. Scar chose Kovu as the lion to follow in his paw prints and become king of the Pride Lands. Kovu means “scar” in Kiswahili.

    For all the dumbasses: Kovu isn’t related to Simba at all. He was chosen because he was the last one born before Simba exiled Scar’s followers. I don’t know who Kovu’s biological father is, maybe Zera isn’t his biological mother.
    Anyway: This is the saddest part of the movie…I almost cry every time. Love this movie!
